Priya did M.Com. and Advanced diploma in Japanese language from Pune University. Also, she did post graduate diploma in ‘Sustainable Management of Natural Resources & Nature Conservation’ from the Ecological Society, Pune. She has completed ‘honey bee training course’ from the Central Bee Research and Training Institute, Pune and did ‘advanced botany course’ organized by Nisargsevak, an NGO working in nature conservation field.

She worked as Japanese language specialist with various software organizations.

She is a nature conservationist and promotes organic gardening, organic/natural farming, toxin free lifestyle, river restoration, honey bee conservation, growing native tree species as sustainable living practices.

Presently, she works as volunteer with various environmental groups.
