‘Adventure’ and ‘nature’ are focus of her life. She worked in All India Radio for more than 37 years and last 17 years of service in a capacity of station director and given full justice in covering adventure sports and nature conservation efforts along with nurturing Music, art, culture, and rich heritage of Maharashtra.

Founder member, ex-president and active member Giripremi organisation where various rock climbing activities are undertaken. She has completed basic and advance mountaineering courses at Manali and uttarkashi. Selected for Advance Mountaincraft training camp in western Himalaya by IMF new delhi.

Her major rock climbing ventures include Lingana, Karnala pinnacals (first woman to climb), Bhairav-gad wall, Gadadacha bahiri, Mumbra rocks etc. She has done various expeditions in Himalayas.

She is doing treks in Sahyadri for last 45 years along with botany excursions in the Western Ghats & Himalayas.  She has done Narmada Parikrama on foot for 5 months during 2005-6.

Translated a book on mountaineering in marathi ‘Touching the void’. Written many articles on rock climbing activity in newspapers and magazines. She is actively associated with nature conservation activities of ‘JNLRF’, `Devrai` and `Jeevidha`. Worked as Director, JNLRF during 2016-2017.
